Celebrity Chef Kurt Fahler began developing his award-winning Chef’s Chili recipe at the beginning of his career when he was a young chef at the Oneida Golf and Riding Club back in the early 1990s. This is where twist number one happened. His boss at the time suggested that they add a domestic beer to the chili while it was cooking up in order to add a nice crisp flavor into the mix. Twist number two is based on the Wisconsin chili eating tradition of spreading butter on a Saltine cracker and putting a spoonful of chili on top for a wonderful flavor explosion. Chef Kurt figured he would flip the scripot by crumbling buttered saltine sandwiches ON TOP of the chili to give the butter a bit of a chance to melt into the chili.
